Radiator

A radiator helps prevent overheating by cooling hot coolant before it flows back through the engine. Your radiator helps your engine stay cool. It takes heat from the coolant and releases that heat into the air as you drive. When the radiator is weak, clogged, or leaking, the engine can overheat quickly. You may see the temperature gauge rise, notice steam, smell sweet coolant, or find fluid under your vehicle. In Aventura, hot weather and busy roads can worsen cooling problems. Driving near NE 203rd Street, Biscayne Boulevard, or the William Lehman Causeway can mean slow traffic, long idle time, and extra heat under the hood. A radiator problem should not be ignored. Low coolant, blocked fins, internal clogs, or small leaks can stop the system from moving heat out of the engine the right way. At Aventura Motor Sales & Service, we start by finding the cause of the overheating. We check the radiator, coolant level, hoses, cap, cooling fan, and leak points before we talk about repairs. A short drive from Aventura to Sunny Isles Beach, Bal Harbour, or North Miami Beach can turn into a problem if the car is already low on coolant. If the temperature gauge climbs, steam appears, or fluid collects under your vehicle, call (305) 931-4502 today. Schedule a radiator replacement and cooling system service if the overheating keeps coming back. If the temperature gauge keeps rising, a mechanic in Aventura can inspect the radiator before a small leak becomes a costly repair.
